From
a young age, Terence was surrounded by a culture of internationalism:
from being a host-brother to international Up With People
students for 11 years to working side by side with Mexican immigrants in the fields
on the family farm in Central New Mexico; from learning the stories of
developing countries from his missionary Godfather to growing up in a
Latino community as a minority.
His
love of cross-culturalism grew out of his parents' example of
acceptance of all people no mater their stage of development, whatever their race, creed, and culture. This
naturally lead to a desire to communicate with many different people in
order to share the love of God in human lives.
Terence began his language
studies as early as Fourth Grade with Spanish, and later three years of
French in High School and two years of accelerated Spanish in two semesters at university. His Honor's courses covered old-English literature. He went on to earn his BA degree in Modern &
Classical Languages and Communications as a Presidential Scholar from
the University of New Mexico, after having lived abroad as an exchange
student to a French Canadian University. For two and a half years he
also double-majored in Astronomy.
After living in squatterville Mexico while offering his services in social work, Terence would
later tour as a student and Event Coordinator in Up With People and as a key
performer and community service leader through The Festival World Tour 1995-96.
He would later return to another French Canadian
University to acquire Certification in Missiology through theology and
socio-cultural religious anthropology studies, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
For
about six years, Terence worked in the IT field in various capacities,
including database management, small-business computerization, and
tri-lingual technical support. It was a natural transition for him to
move from the Information industry into Travel and Tourism, where he
could combine his computer skills with his love of people, culture, and
travel.
Terence was trained extensively in cross-cultural communications and relations in French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian. Through his Anthropology studies, Up With People, and
on-the-job experiences, Terence has now lived, worked, and traveled
through 11 countries.
He
has been a Tour Guide in Alaska, California, Colorado, Arizona, Utah, New
Mexico, Nevada, Ontario, Canada, Quebec, Canada, and in Venezuela. As
a Tour Director he holds international credentials from the
International Tour Management Institute out of San Francisco, CA. While
traveling as a Tour Director, he often works as the Tour Narrator and
local Tour Guide, offering edutainment to passengers while opening
their minds and expanding their horizons to new cultures and
environments.
I dedicate
my business venture to the memory of my beautiful mother, Barbara-Ann
O'Hare, and to the sanctity of life, which she taught me. From my earliest memories, mom taught me that all life is sacred, from the smallest insect to the most horrible of criminals. She accomplished this through teaching me to love and appreciate animals and then babies, and then my elders and small children, for all humans are created in the image and likeness of God. She taught me the ways of Christ and the greatest Commandments.
I, therefore, committ to offering 10% of net income in promoting a CULTURE OF LIFE
here in America and throughout the world, wherever the opportunity
avails itself and while on tour.
I
attribute my success to her constant prayers. She never gave up on me
and always believed in my potential and gifts when no one else did. She
taught me the importance of my Catholic Faith through her life example.
She
lived a saintly life, praying 4 to 6 hours a day for her family and the
needs of the world. She never gave up her struggle to beat the cancer.
She taught me never to give up and that "God is Good" despite what
befalls us.
She loved Our Virgin
Mother Mary, Lived for Christ, Died in Grace!
You remain my guiding light, Mom! You are dearly missed and loved beyond words and with all my heart!

If we can admire, respect, and protect animal species across the globe and do our
best to save them, why can't we do the same with human life from the
