* All of these fees are negotiable. Additionally, meal allotment, lodging, and excursion fees (when required to remain with passengers) are not included in this fee structure. The daily fees are based on a 12hr minimal, even though the average work-day for a Tour Director is 15 hours. Additionally, it is understood that the TD is on call 24/7 throughout the duration of the tour to attend to the needs and emergencies of each passenger. Therefore, even though the average day starts at 7:00 am for the Tour director and most often doesn't finish until around 21:00 or 22:00, the TD often must work beyond 15 hours per day.

** Only consecutive interpretation is offered, NOT simultaneous. This means that those side excursions that include narration that must be interpreted in French or Spanish or English for the group is only offered when the step-on guide provides ample time between sentences for interpretation. Again, please notice that such additional fees are not based on an hourly rate but simply a one-time fee per tour segment, whether 3hr, 5hr, 9hr, or 12hr. Industry standard for this kind of service is usually $50 to $75/hr per language from any other professional interpreter. Terence is making a concerted effort to keep the Tour Operator's costs down. If there are more than two narrated side excursions that must be interpreted during any given day, then an additional fee will be charged on a 30-min minimal at $20 per half-hour. Pre-notification of this need is required at the time of tour offer. The Tour Operator is required to supply a basic script or over-view of the narrated side-excursions so that Terence has time to prepare some notes in the foreign language, regarding the information to be conveyed.
