Designed for European river-cruise assignments where operators need an English-, French- or Spanish-speaking Onboard Cruise Host, subject to assignment-specific confirmation to accompany a group throughout the program, maintain daily communications, prepare guests for excursions, coordinate meeting points and timing, assist with passenger needs and provide continuity between shipboard and shore-side activities.

Potential assignments include programs along major European river corridors such as the Rhine, Danube, Seine, Rhône/Saône and Douro, as well as other itineraries arranged by the contracting operator. Destination-specific commentary and technical preparation are completed in advance for each assigned itinerary.

Alaska is one example of a broader positioning model. When several departures operate within the same destination, cruise corridor or region, BTD can position for multiple weeks at a time rather than repeatedly returning to Colorado between assignments. This approach can support consecutive programs in Alaska and elsewhere in the United States, the Caribbean, South America and Western Europe.

How the model can work

Position once for a defined multi-week or seasonal block when several programs operate in the same region.
Serve as Onboard Cruise Host for multiple consecutive sailings, with shore excursions, transfers and pre- or post-cruise land programs as required.
Use operator-arranged guide lodging while actively assigned to a group.
Coordinate practical local lodging between assignments when gaps occur.
Reposition between nearby cruise ports, airports, cities or regional gateways as individual programs require.
